COCOA CAFE Creates EXCITEMENT
In only its second season, the excitement for Cocoa Cafe is evident as the audience packed Devereux Glenholme’s tiny theater with students, faculty and friends earnestly enthusiastic about the event. December's "Happy Holidays" theme brought out a dozen exciting seasonal acts and opportunities for sharing with solo segments, ensemble holiday readings, and singing duets. Full Story >>
STUDENT'S SPIRIT SUPPORTS CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Devereux Glenholme student Josh Shapiro announced the release and sales of his second holiday album, “Thankful, A Christmas Album” will benefit the Center for the Arts Campaign. During the 2008 holiday season, sales from Josh’s first album which included two traditional holiday solos, “O Holy Night” and “I’ll be home for Christmas” raised over $500 for the Center of the Arts. CONSTRUCTION COMMENCED
After seven years of unwavering fundraising efforts and a star-studded groundbreaking event in May with James Marsden and Jessica Biel, Devereux Glenholme commenced construction on the long-awaited Center for the Arts on November 16, 2009. Full Story >>
GLENHOLME GIVES TO THE TROOPS
Throughout the year, Devereux Glenholme endeavors to acknowledge and appreciate the dedication of America’s armed forces serving abroad. This holiday season, Justin B and his family assisted Glenholme teacher Michele O’Toole in connecting the school’s efforts with the Connecticut branch of Give 2 The Troops, a nationwide charitable organization which provides care packages to our troops serving in combat zones around the world. THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
On Monday, November 23, Devereux Glenholme concluded their annual Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive in spectacular, holiday fashion. The month-long event, organized by Glenholme’s Community Service Program and their students, collected more than 2000 items through staff and family donations.

Devereux Glenholme is dedicated to providing quality professional development seminars to faculty and area social workers. THE STORY OF NEVILLE
Ambassadors for The Simon Foundation, Stephanie Ferguson and her adopted dog, Neville, delivered an important message of awareness about animal rescue as they shared their story with the students and staff at Devereux Glenholme on November 20, 2009. The Simon Foundation, an animal rescue organization based in Bloomfield CT, is dedicated to the preservation and adoption of dogs and cats otherwise abandoned, abused, neglected or euthanized in municipal shelters, to caring and loving homes. SHOOTING HOOPS OF HOPE
The Devereux Glenholme students of Sections 6 and 7 joined the efforts of thousands across the nation as they raised money for children affected by HIV and AIDS around the world with Hoops of Hope, the world’s largest free-throw marathon. Full Story >>

Devereux Glenholme honored Amanda Patch with the 2009 Thomas F. Donovan Culture of Caring Award. Amanda has been an employee at Glenholme since April 2006 and her contributions and accomplishments through various committees, projects, and regular program efforts are abundant. Full Story >>

Make a DifferenceGroundbreaking for Devereux Glenholme’s Center for the Arts took place on May 2nd amidst the excitement and success of the school’s fifth annual Parents’ Weekend and auction event with the support of James Marsden and Jessica Biel.
